The Forum is an opportunity for indigenous librarians and information workers from all parts of the world to come together and discuss the information needs and aspirations of their people. While indigenous peoples have networked internationally for many years, the International Indigenous Librarians' Forum provides a unique place and framework that affirms and celebrates indigenous autonomy. It is crucial that indigenous librarians actively participate in determining the place of indigenous knowledge and values.

Hosting the next Forum is an exciting chance for your organisation to engage, connect and share language, culture and innovation with other indigenous peoples. Those organisations who wish to tono/bid for the 2011 Forum should be prepared for the following:
